Provided by YP.com1) I believe they have lots of rental properties. This gives them the power to slowly up the rates. The more you go rent from them the more power they have to increase prices.
2) I scheduled my move-in date over a month before. When the day came the elevator was out of service. The apartment management told PRC weeks before but they did not inform me. They said that I can just use the stairs. Hello...I'm on the third floor. They offered no help or concessions. Tough luck for me.
3) They inspect the rental property every year. They send a formal letter and then they carefully inspect all areas of the property especially the bathrooms and kitchen
4) You can tell how they treat their renters by just visiting their offices. They recently moved from Glenoaks to Magnolia. At the old place when you stepped inside you can immediately really tell they are not renter friendly. There is no place for you to stand let alone sit. You basically stand by the entrance in the hallway. There is no chair. I get more respect going to a job interview at a fast food place. Should have been a sign when I first walked in but I ignored me instincts and payed the price.
5) Getting things fixed usually done quickly once the handy man actually shows up. I get the impression that they try to fit you in when it fits their schedule.
6) They give you a copy of the apartments rules and regulations which you are suppose to return when you move out. If you do not they will charge you $150.
7) Late fee - one day past is $75, the second day they serve you a notice and then it turns into $400 fine for being 2 days late. They do call you one day after so I guess that is positive?
