Its Home Entertainment Services provides replication and distribution of packaged media products, as it supports the industry transition to high definition through its early installation of capacity for both Blu-ray and HD DVD advanced optical disc formats. This group also focuses on electronic distribution to the home activities. Technicolor's Network Services includes broadcast playout and network management services and worldwide cinema and out of home advertising services. The out of home media unit focuses on the retail, exhibition (cinema) and enterprise market sectors, where it currently operates more than 1 million displays in over 40,000 stores, theatres and schools. Technicolor's Academy Award and Emmy-winning teams have worked on such recent features as Dreamgirls, Norbit, and Transformers. Its television projects include hits like Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds, Dexter and Sleeper Cell. Technicolor Sound Services is located in Burbank, Calif.
