Provided by YPmobileThe atmosphere has an upscale feel and the food presentation is lovely. However, the service at lunch time is abominable! We waited 20 minutes before anyone even took our order and another 46 for the food. When it was delivered to our table it was luke-warm, however the waitress wouldn't have known because she never checked in with us for another 30 minutes! It wasn't very busy- perhaps they were just understaffed but then tell us that. The waitress didn't seem to care about our table at all despite that fact that we had 3 hungry children with us (2 six year olds and an 18 month old.). There isn't a children's menu - which isn't a deal breaker for me because my daughter usually wants something from the main menu anyway. However, the complete disregard for serving lunch in a timely manner, caring about whether or not we liked the food and then another 20 minutes waiting for our check will keep me from going again.

Provided by YPmobileCame here last night after a few months of not being there and asked to sit at the sushi bar - but alas they no longer have sushi bar seating. They have bar area seating and restaurant area. Shishito peppers were ok but they were the thick skinned kind and very spicy (and I like spicy). Cucumber salad was a bit disappointing. Chunks of cucumber rather than thin slices. Chunks of whole garlic too that just overwhelmed the whole dish. Sushi boat (love boat) was good with some thick cuts of sashimi. Comes with soup and salad both generous.

Provided by YP.comOverrated and underwhelming! Wokcano used to be cool, but the owners have gotten cheap. The music is too loud to hear conversation just across the table. The food is adequate but not fantastic. The wait staff is not very pleasant and look like they dislike being there. And to top it off, they no longer serve fortune cookies at all, after discontinuing the cool treat of chocolate dipped ones. It feels like Wokcano has become that high maintenance persona nobody likes... all sizzle, no substance.

Provided by YP.comWokano is a nice looking restaurant with a mini waterfall as you walk inside. There is a lot of space both for large groups and small tables. The food is always fresh and tasty, but the cuisine is decidedly straddling Japanese and Chinese. Personally, I think that the Japanese is a little stronger and better than the Japanese at Wokcano. There is a lot of nearby parking on San Fernando and Olive, too.
