Provided by YPmobileMy grandfather took his great grandfather's open faced Elgin top wind pocket watch there. He lost the ticket and was in a home for 6 months. For the next 5 years we continually contacted the owner(she was unhelpful and unpleasant) and left messages with her brother (the repair guy at the shop). Never once got a response. They said if they had it, it would be in their lost and found/unclaimed tickets. They said they keep all of those off site. They were unwilling to even look for the watch and help us unless we knew the ticket number. And would not bring the unclaimed items in for us to look through. What kind of person would be unwilling to look through their unclaimed tickets for a 150+ year old family heirloom? My mother worked in the Fred Meyer jewelry right with them for years prior to this having happened. Never once did Fred Meyer miss place an item, or be unwilling to check to see if an item was left there..... I believe they made us wait past the point of them having to "hold" the item and it is gone.
