Inova Fairfax Hospital Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Inova Alexandria Hospital Inova Loudoun Hospital Virginia Hospital Center Joint Commission Accreditation In earning accreditation from the 1994: Commonwealth Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, P.C., was established with the merger of a four-physician group in Herndon and a four-physician group in Reston. 1997: Commonwealth merged with an orthopaedic hand surgeon and established its Annandale and Leesburg offices. 1999: Commonwealth opened its first Joint Commission-accredited outpatient surgery center in its Herndon location, and hired its first anesthesiologist. Through mergers, Commonwealth established a second office in Annandale, as well as offices in Alexandria and Springfield. Commonwealth Orthopaedics, an orthopaedic surgery group practice, provides comprehensive, high quality, cost effective care to patients with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. We act with the best interest of our patients in mind, strive to provide the best medical care available, and treat our patients with respect, compassion, and confidentiality. We attempt to minimize the inconveniences of treatment to our patients by providing prompt, courteous service. To this end, we offer as part of our practice, outpatient surgery and physical therapy. We promote quality medical care in the community through participation in hospital medical staff functions, benchmarking with similar organizations and participation with local and national medical societies. We participate with the local medical educational institutions to prepare new healthcare professionals for our community. The Commonwealth Orthopaedics board of directors is responsible for oversight of the organization's quality of patient care services, operations, finance, strategic planning and management.
