Provided by YP.comThis practice is now closed, which is too bad. I was pleased with my experience there -- I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Seidel as well as his successor; thanks to them, I discovered "monovision" when it comes to contact lenses and have never looked back. I found the practitioners thorough, friendly and trustworthy.
Having said all of that, I give this three stars for the lack of communication with patients regarding the closing of the practice (and, from what the other reviewers are saying, problems in getting orders filled). Typically in such situations, it's common for providers to explain the reasons for closure and suggest referrals to other providers (so that records can be sent on). I'm sorry the practice closed due to financial considerations. However, the patients should have been informed.

Provided by YP.comHave been calling and leaving messages about my PREPAID contact order for the past two weeks. Went by the office today and there is a sign on the door that the office closed 11/5/12. Spoke with one of their former supply reps, who happened to be there looking for them too. He said that Dr. Seidel has moved to another state and that Dr. Malhorta was closing the office due to financial problems.

Provided by YPmobileSeriously, I have never dealt with a business as lousy as this one. I paid up front for contacts 3 MONTHS ago! Yes 3!!! Every single time I call they say they are on 'back order'. I have told off the girl who works there a few times and nothing ever changes. I just want my contacts! That way I will never have to deal with them again. It's beyond ridiculous.

Provided by YPmobileMy wife and I have used Seidel for years. I went in to have new lenses put in 2 existing frames, and paid up front. I got the one back and sent the 2nd set in. Its been over a month later, and I haven't heard anything. I call and get their answering machine and leave messages. They have yet to reply. I've gone to their office and it is always closed.
So now I'm out for expensive lenses that I already paid for and my titanium frames!!!!
If they're still in business, they have lost 2 customers.

Provided by YP.comDon't go. I have Never been so disappointed before in an establishment. They charged me for a contact fitting fee over 2 months ago and STILL have not been able to get a trail pair for me to try. They do not returned my emails or my phone calls. I have now asked for a refund and don't expect that either. Think twice before spending any money here

Provided by YPmobileThere are some rather negative reviews here and I was quite surprised to see them so here I am writing my first ever web review. We called our doctor who recommended Dr.Seidel after our son was screened for vision issues in kindergarten. He did very well with our son. He was attentive and knowledgable. He had a great bedside manner, as they say. My husband is in the eyeglasses business and has been for 15 years. He talked at great length with him and the staff about options for frames and lenses. They were knowledgable and provided good advice. My son is very young for glasses. He was super nervous about the experience and it couldn't have gone better. We are scheduling our next annual very soon (for him and ME!) and I'm looking forward to it! It is. I e to go to someone right here in town who can offer professional, courteous and knowledgable service.

Provided by YP.comIt is sad that only the unsatisfied reply for a review. Dr. Seidel is clearly the best eye doctor we have been to in several years. He is very friendly, thorough, and knowledgable on all levels. His staff is pleasing as well. The pricing for eyecare is very fair, especially for those of us without ins.

Provided by YP.comOK for general vision check ups, not particularly pleased with the attention paid to my child's ambliopia condition. Also, their selection of childrens' frames is very limited, and they outsourced their billing and insurance filing to a separate firm which made it take a long time. I will probably take my child to a pediatric ophthalmologist to further check into his condition. I will probably return to our old optometrist for general checkups since they seem to have their act more together.
