Provided by YP.comBeing a world traveller and eating Italian food in notable Italian Restaurants my comments for Papa Razzi in Burlington are not good. Two of us went on a Sunday, early afternoon when it was not busy. The interior decorations and furnishings are the only favorable thing about this restaurant.
I ordered a Chicken Parm & my friend ordered a Shrimp Scampi which was not on the menu but the waitress indicated the kitchen can make special dishes, both with small salads. With only a hand-full of patrons it still took at least 20+ minutes for our food to arrive. The shrimp was over cooked, the pasta sauce was very bland and unlike any scampi sauce we ever had. My chicken parm was of mediocre size and the sauce was very salty and had a soap, yes soap like taste and was only luke warm. Both of us were not pleased with our meals. We did share a chocolate cake ($8) which was in the fridgerator too long for the fudge coating was like rubber. The entire meal without any drinks other than water was close to $60 (with tip).
The server never came back to us to inquire how the food was; may be she knew in advance and that's why she never made inquiry. Also, I over heard the server talking to another guest about the variety of desserts and what was good....that never happened with us. Needless to say, we will never return. Even Papa Gino's is a step-up in food taste from what we had at Papa Razzi. If I could give a negative rating for Papa Razzi I would.
