Rounder Records Group, founded in 1970 by three Cambridge college students, is now one of America's premier independent record labels. Rounder Records has released records such as The Alan Lomax collection, a series of mopre than 100 CDs documenting innumerable traditional musics from Appalachia to Yugoslavia and the ambitious Anthology of World Music series joint releases with the Library of Congress Archive of Folk Culture.
