Rented a piece of equipment to move dirt in my yard. Equipment was either defective or not the right application for the use. Called the tech out 2 times to look at it, was told it could do the job. However, I needed to operate it in a specific manner in order for it to work. Failure of equipment proceeded each time. After 3rd try (and project not completed), I told them to come and take it back. They told me they'd like to inspect it then get back to me. I had to call them a couple days later to find understand the outcome, to which they stated there was nothing wrong with it. Gave me a $50 reduction in cost (but job did not get finished). Alternative was not given. From my perspective, clearly the machine was worn and needed some service. Also, if the application was incorrect, why did they not say so when they came out to fix it each time. Bottom line, poor communication and customer service (both during and after the incident), they did not follow up with me once they took the machine back and meanwhile the job was not done. Poor experience on my end.

I was over charged a Damage Waiver fee. When I questioned the charge. I was treated poorly by the store the manager. When I ask to see the contract that had been signed he said "No you will run out of the store" He was very rude. I left messages for the owner to call me. He never did. I had to call him. He did nothing about the over charge and I had to ask for a apology for the way I was treated. I plan to dispute the charge through my credit card. POOR, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE .

I rented a fast 37 ton log splitter from Dustin at first source in Burlington. The splitter was superior to any one I have ever used before. Strong. Fast. Automated. The service provided by Dustin was second to none. Jim. Elon. NC. 4/13/15

I rented a few pieces of equipment from these folks. While hooking them up to my truck, they dinged my tailgate. There was even matching paint residue on the equipment to prove it. There has been no help from the First Source management despite my best efforts. I understand that accidents do happen. It is the lack of integrity that First Source Rental Equipment has displayed that is displeasing. If you don't care to work with shifty people, stay away!

They always have top notch equipment. Everything I have rented has been in like new condition. I have rented for personal as well as commercial needs and am always satisfied. Good instruction on proper use of the more complicated equipment. I have rented equipment from concrete saws to lawn pluggers. From 80 foot boom lift platforms to 20 foot scissor lifts. My first equipment rental choice.
