It offers the Camp Cadet program, which is a summer camp for boys and girls between the ages of 12 to 15. The program introduces participants to the criminal justice system and establishes a positive relationship with law enforcement personnel. Its Operation Nighthawk is a specialized two-day training and enforcement program aimed at reducing drunk driving. The Pennsylvania State Police has an auto theft task force that investigates vehicle theft rings and chop shop, vehicle replating and insurance fraud cases. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The Pennsylvania State Police maintains a location in Butler, Pa.
