Jewel has great customer service and is quite friendly but was more focused on the other girl she was doing at the same time as me and my hair look exactly like hers but I didn't want my hair colored darker at all because I knew it wouldn't look good on me. She didn't tell me what color she was putting in my hair and that's probably because she was distracted with talking to her friend. She told us at the beginning that she wouldn't accept our coupon for a cut and color for $60 but she changed my hair into something I didn't want. Now my hair is extremely dark brown just like her friends hair even though I showed her a picture of what I wanted. My hair is naturally light brown and I didn't want it changed. On top of this I was left alone while she bounced between her friend and I. I was left so long after my hair was washed that my hair was mostly dry by the time she got back. I liked Jewel but the appointment did not go well for me. She didn't do bad but I didn't want it darker.

More often than not, the staff is rude and acts like they hate being there. If you are not 20-something and/or a cute girl, they treat you like garbage. Also they do not keep things in stock. I have gone in there numerous times for different products and they are always out of it. Urban decay Perversion mascara, for one, and several Urban Decay lip products and eyeshadows as well as other things. I think it must be poorly managed, that would explain the unhappy looking employees and poorly stocked shelves. In fact I have seen the manager in person working there and she also seems very unfriendly and at best when she tries to be nice she seems very phony, never smiles, and not a people person AT ALL.....I am happy Butler got this store, but I think, and I have heard, that they are losing business because of these unfortunate issues. I guess the main office does not care because they see a profit.
