Established in 1913, Byers School District is comprised of one elementary, junior high and high schools. The district s staffs include classroom teachers, guidance counselors and supporting personnel. The districts schools serve more than 600 students from prekindergatren through 12. The district s schools offer classes in computer applications, word processing, and business math, procedures and leadership for high school students. Additionally, the schools offer classes in home economics, language arts, music, math, agriculture, science, history and social studies. The schools sports programs include cross country, football, soccer, volleyball, tennis, swimming, baseball, softball and wrestling. Its extracurricular activities include book fair, Halloween parade, talent show and student council. Byers School District is located in Byers, Colo.
