Elder gentleman doesn't need to sugar coat his expertise and responses to questions ....he knows what he's talking about with his long wealth of knowledge of shoe construction. Those that tend to rate bad experience, need to get a life

I visited this shop today. The elderly man who worked there was so rude and condescending towards me that I left to take my business elsewhere. I would give him no stars except that I am required to give at least one.

The proprietor of this establishment is an older gentlemen who is a man of few words, no patience with people and rather gruff. Better not push him because then he becomes downright rude. I used him several times, overlooking his personality. But then came the time when he told me a shoe couldn't be repaired. I asked him to go ahead and try anyway, even if it were to hold only a short time, and that I wasn't expecting much. Well, his response was very much less than charitable. Being respectful of older people, I was not confrontational. Rather, I just left the shop, never to return again.
