Established in 1902, Calhoun Elementary has an enrollment of more than 750 students in grades three through five. Its media center provides more than eight computer workstations and digital cameras. It also offers the accelerated reading program, resource collection, book fairs and family reading nights. Additionally, the school s facility consists of a music lab and a computer room. Calhoun Elementary provides various opportunities to participate in physical education programs, chorus, Spanish club and parent-teacher association. The school also offers special instruction in foreign languages. Located in Calhoun, Ga., the elementary school is a part of the Calhoun City Schools that serves more than 3,000 students.
