The Coast Unified School District consists of elementary, middle, high and alternative high schools. The school district provides education to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. It has an enrollment of approximately 800 students. The district s schools offer classes in English, social science, math, science, foreign languages and computers. The Coast Unified School District s curriculum also includes fine and performing arts and physical and vocational education. Its schools' libraries house a collection of storybooks, picture dictionaries, textbooks, encyclopedias, newspapers, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books. The district s schools support athletic activities that include football, volleyball, tennis, cross country, basketball, soccer, softball, baseball and golf. The Coast Unified School District provides membership for Christian, drama and environmental clubs.
