We walked in the door. There's no sign saying whether to seat yourself of wait to be seated, so we waited to be polite. And we waited. And waited. We were standing right next to the bar, where the bartender, who also happened to be the only one serving all the tables, could certainly see that we were standing there, but didn't acknowledge us or tell us to go ahead and seat ourselves, or tell us that she'll be right with us, or anything. We finally called out to her, and she told us to sit anywhere. After sitting, it took her maybe 5 or so minutes before coming to our table, just before we were about to get up and walk out already, so we went ahead and ordered. Our server was actually very nice, but because she was so busy, service was slow. The worst part though, was that all the food we had was bad. The clam chowder hardly had any pieces of clam in it. The fries were crispy and tasty at first, but after a few, they started tasting quite salty. The onion rings were very greasy. Some people said some good things about the West End Burger, but it really didn't have much flavor to me. We had two burgers and both were well done and dry. We realized that we weren't asked how we wanted our burgers done, so I don't know if she just assumed we wanted them well done. It was a disappointing and regretful experience.
