Founded in 1982, ImprovBoston is a theater company dedicated to the collaborative process of improvisation and the art of comedy in all its forms. Based in Cambridge, Mass., the company comprises a school and a theater, which specializes in improvisational theater, a form of theater. It has a school that teaches improvisational theater techniques, such as improv comedy, sketching, musical improv, comedy writing, puppet improv and stand-up comedy. ImprovBoston also operates a theater that provides entertainment for family functions, corporate events and collegiate functions. The company performs an array of programs, including the Comedy Lab, the Family Show, Mosaic, the Naked Comedy Showcase, Stand-up Sundays and Harry Gordon Roasts America.
