Ponderosa Landscaping owner Dick Welch does not honor his work. He refuses to fix a leak from his irrigation installation. My neighbor informed me of the water leaking into his yard and against his house foundation. No water shows up on my property because the leak is uphill/behind a French drain (they installed) that empties into a drain pipe which ends at the border of my 6ft tall fence and why I didn’t see it. I informed Welch of the situation and he came out in a couple of days. I have an email from Welch that said “I will have it done next week”. He never showed ever. After 6 months of trying to get him to come out I finally realized he had no intention of honoring his work or his word. When I finally confronted him, he now says I informed him of the leak past the 1 year irrigation warranty by 3 months. The leak was there all along and was never detected because of the french drain. I know it and so does he otherwise he would have never said he would fix it. Keep in mind this was a 30k plus job. His failures also include inadequate sprinkler coverage where I have 4 dry spots on my lawn. He also said they had experience in building rock walls but his inexperienced crew showed up without straps or rock chains to move large rocks. Fortunately I have experience with building rock walls and I provided the rock chain and basically taught his crew how to select and stack rock. So if you want someone to deceive you, do inadequate work, and not honor their work or their word then Dick Welch is your guy.
