Got my ear pierced, three days later it was swollen and throbbing. I want to the urgent care where I was prescribed oral antibiotics (I was told to not take the earring out because it could cause a pus sack at this point). Next morning I woke up and my ear was swollen shut around the earring. I returned to oral care where I had to get it removed, receive an injection of antibiotics, along with a different type of oral antibiotics. Terrible pain and worse experience ever. I had white gold and followed all cleansing instructions, the physician assistant and I believe it was from the ear piercing personnel being unsanitary.
