In 2005, I purchased a Carrier unit from Verde Sol-Air. I paid over $5,500. It had a 5 year guarantee. It was installed on the top of my roof above my second floor. Every year it was serviced and all the workmen were very prompt, polite, and professional. I had no problem until last year. I had it serviced in January of 2013. The maintenance man didn't indicate that there was any problem. Two of Verde-Sol Air maintenance men told that the unit was 1/2 ton short when I complained about the unit running so much. When I purchased the Carrier unit, I assumed that the proper unit was installed on the top of my roof. That Richard would have calculated the proper heating footage. You "trust". In October 2013, the Carrier unit started making a TERRIBLE noise when I was outside. It was like taking a metal spoon and banging it around in a pot. It lasted for some time, then stopped. Another day while I was in the house, it happened again. I thought the dang thing was going to fall off my roof!!!! I called Verde Sol Air, and a new guy came out. He, too, was very nice and knowledgeable. He informed me that the compressor was no longer working properly as well as the coil. I was told that there was a LOT of debris around the coil. Did this debris all happen between January to October? Was it overlooked before? It would cost about $3,000 to have the two parts replaced. I didn't want to put new parts into an old unit. Since I didn't use air-conditioning much, it was decided to disconnect the air conditioner and have it run on heat strips. Hopefully they wouldn't be costly. I later found out from several sources, that heat strips are the costliest way to heat a house!!!!The house was kept at 62o at night and 65o during the day. By myself, I kept it at 58o at night. I had a brief renter at the time and she, too, was VERY frugal about the use of electricity. We wore coats in the house. We both worked. I had a small heater that I ran downstairs ONLY at night when I absolutely had too. My 2013 January bill arrived. I about croaked..... it was $472!!!Next month $302.86 It wasn't as cold in February and the renter had left mid January.I wasn't a happy camper!!! I complained to Richard, the manager. He listened...had no apology. No warranty after 5 years. I asked him why the proper unit wasn't installed on my house? He seem to have no answer. No attempt was made to right the wrong!!!! Because it was undersized, I now realized why the unit ran a LOT!!! Recently, I have had other heating companies come and give me estimates on a new system. Both companies have told me that the present unit is undersized even more than what I previously was told by the maintenance guys at Verde Sol-Air. One said it was half of what it really should be. No wonder the unit couldn't keep up! Also, that the unit was put on backwards, and it was not level. That might be another reason why the Compressor didn't work properly. Now, do you see why I am soooooo dissatisfied with the "management" of Verde-Sol-Air? This is a HUGE $$$ set back for me. This is why............ I do NOT recommend this company to ANYONE!!!!

Made appointment will Verde Sol-Air, they called me morning of appointment and let me know the approx. time that the Tech would arrive, stating his name, so I knew who would be arriving. Steve was very polite, explaining things as he checked out our A/C unit for the summer. He knew what to look for and was able to pinpoint a problem in a short time period, charged up with Freon and checked for leaks. Service call was very good and will have Steve back in fall to check out furnace. Very happy with his work. Tom
