Kessler Auction & Realty Co has conducted more successful auctions and have been doing it longer than any other auction company in Central Kentucky. John M. Kessler grew up in the auction business following his father, Wayne Kessler, around, "As a kid I hung onto my father's coattail and watched everything he did". "I really had a great teacher and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be an auctioneer." John has been a professional auctioneer since 1980 and has been the managing broker and auctioneer of Kessler Auction & Realty Co since 1984. John's auctioneering skills won him the title of 1987 World Champion Auctioneer and 2001 KY State Champion Auctioneer. John Wayne Kessler has been around the auction business all his life. John Wayne began as a sheet carrier as a 3 year old and has been working ever since. Now as a 4th generation auctioneer, John Wayne is participating in the family business that he has long dreamed of. His young talent won him top honors as the 2009 KY Auctioneer's Association Junior Division Champion. Colonel Wayne Kessler founded what is now Kessler Auction & Realty Company in 1938. From that time, until his death in 2003, he conducted 1000's of successful auctions. Wayne conducted several auctions in the 1930's and 1940's with his father S.V. Kessler.
