DirectLink is a national award winning, premier local provider of Internet, video and voice in the Canby and the Mt. Angel communities. We connect nearly 100-square miles of members with a direct link to their world. More than 1.2 million Americans receive their communication connections from a home grown cooperative like DirectLink. This local company is proud to be one of approximately 260 cooperatives in 31 states across the nation that provide state-of-the-art communication services to people just like you. Cooperatives are an example of democracy in action. The independent telephone industry was developed throughout the country by farmers who were unable to receive telephone service in the small rural communities where they lived and worked. That spirit has expanded throughout the decades to include high-speed Internet, television entertainment and other technologies. As a DirectLink member, you can be assured that your local communications company has had its members best interests in mind every day of each year since 1904. Technical Support and Repair Services available 24/7.

Compared to Comcast? Comcast doesn't even offer service in Canby. This internet service is horrible, from moment you sign up service, the "customer service" is atrocious, their install hours are what works for THEM. We had to take off of work early to meet their service schedule, which I've never had to deal with when I had Dish, Comcast, Wave or Directv. When you ask why their service crews only work during banker hours, they're just rude. Now, for the actual service? Forget doing homework or streaming anything during their "peak hours" because it pretty much won't work. Our modem is so old

and outdated, when it gets slightly warm, it stops working for that reason too. You also have to have the modem sitting just right or it won't work right. I've even had the pleasure of speaking with their tech support because the service was horrible and they were about as useless as the rest of our experience. You get what you pay for, for sure. I'd much rather have Comcast, if that means we get reliable service out here. DSL is outdated, Canby needs better! I'll be cancelling our service soon myself. I do not recommend them.

This company floods reviews from family members of people who work there. They are clueless about the needs of Canby Business or Residential customers. Go to Direct TV and Verizon wireless for Internet. Better rates,Service and Products.

Great service, amazingly fast internet! I used to have comcast and I was paying more for slower speeds, Canby Telecom has faster internet speeds and charges less. Canby is one of the few communities with fiber optic to the home service (one of only about 2 dozen cities the USA), and the service guys are super kind and professional. The support guys are also great, they are knowledgeable and patient even when the problem has nothing to do with their service and is a xbox, wii, cell phone and laptop ip conflict. Canby Telecom is soooo much better than comcast!

If you are stuck speaking with a Wendy, good luck! Her attitude on the phone is atrocious and she comes across as someone who is not there for the customer but for the bottom line of the company. I cringe every time I have to talk to her.

This whole Fiber conversion is a joke. They'll provide you with information over the phone about all the "FREE" things you'll get during the conversion process but when a technician shows up to finish the installation (which is literally like a 3 step process and can take MONTHS) you'll get charged if you want internet in more than one room even though they said FREE in the beginning to get you to upgrade your home. They expect you to just use a WiFi router for the whole house, but the problem with my house is that the main jack is in the room that was converted from a garage and blocks part of my WiFi signal which is why I requested multiple locations so I could have my router in a centralized location.

And then of course there is the absolutely, positively, most unaccommodating schedule offered ever! For most of us, we work full-time and can't afford to take a vacation day in order to sit around for 4 1/2 hours (not kidding, they said someone would have to be available between 1-4:30pm) and wait for a call from the technician to inform you they are on their way. Canby Telcom doesn't offer any evening appointments AND...they only offer 1 and I mean literally only ONE Saturday a month appointment day as an alternative that is literally booked out a month and a half, or more!

This whole experience has been aggravating; it affected my job, and it almost cost me more money than originally quoted. The only saving grace was Matt Campbell the technician who decided to waive my additional fees that Canby Telcom was trying to charge even after Wendy AND HER SUPERVISOR said they would not waive the additional charges.

If I had any better options, I would have cancelled my service today (the same day it was installed).

Not a satisfied customer at all!
