Provided by YP.comI brought my personal school bus to Diesel Power initially at the end of this past May because the transmission started overheating. Diesel Power ran their diagnostics and discovered that the bus needed another transmission. When I arrived back to pick up the bus after the transmission job was completed, the transmission started to overheat and jerk when changing gears. The gauge climbed all the way to 300 degrees within 30 minutes of driving. They had the bus at the shop for four days until I received a call from the front desk saying that they were "unsure why the transmission was still overheating. Maybe a change in differentials would be a solution, but they would have to do more research." I am not a mechanic, but I do know that the gear ratio (differentials) would have nothing to do with the transmission overheating. I was very frustrated by this, so I went to collect my bus to have another garage look at it.
The new garage ran their diagnostics and discovered that the old burned transmission fluid was still present in the transmission cooler and pan. Upon looking at my service records from Diesel Power and talking with the new mechanics, it shows that the system was not flushed while they installed the new transmission, so all the gunk flowed right in to the new transmission. The new mechanics also brought to my attention that if any internal damage was done to the transmission from the severe overheating, my year warranty with Allison Transmission would be voided because of Diesel Power not flushing the system.
I contacted Diesel Power and spoke with management. (Josh) Josh responded by saying he would investigate the issue, talk with his foremen and go up the new garage to see the debris that was flushed out of the system. He also said he would be in contact with me the following day, but he never did. I've tried contacting him on his direct line multiple times, but haven't received a response. I'm also unable to leave a voicemail because it hasn't been setup.

Provided by YP.comNobody wants to experience problems with their truck, but if you do, try to do it near Candler, NC! Best shop I've ever been to. They got me in right away (Volvo dealership couldn't get me in for 5 days). I was treated with respect and pleasantly surprised with how quickly I was able to get back on the road. These people ROCK!!
