Pautler received her medical degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then trained in general surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. She also completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. A leading plastic surgeon in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area, Dr. Pautler is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons."
