John patched multiple areas of drywall on our kitchen ceiling and walls from electrical work. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the result and cannot even tell that there was a repair done. He matched the textured ceiling perfectly! John was very professional and reasonably priced compared to other quotes I received. I would definitely recommend using him in the future for any drywall repair or plaster work.

I've had some prior bad experiences with contractors. But, I knew I didn't have the skill set to level and swirl texture a plaster ceiling after some major hole repairs due to fire damage. John was very nice, easy to work with, did a fine job and was more than willing to rework or touchup areas that I wasn't satisfied with. He came and worked when he said he would and was flexible in accommodating my schedule. John charged a fair price for the work and respectfully did not try to expand the job to do some wall rework that he said would look fine after painting. (He was right.) The room looks great and I'll use him again, and recommend him to others, for plaster work.

This is actually a "fake" review posted by me, the owner. I've asked multiple customers to review me on this site. They all claim they did. Not one of them has appeared here as a reviewer. So what happened? Is this site broken?

We are in the process of rehabbing a 1936 house. Needless to say with all the work done by plumbers, electricians and having a new heating system installed, there were large holes in the walls and ceilings everywhere, including one place in the first floor ceiling that took up about a third of the large room. We hired John primarily because out of about 10 contractors called, he was the only one to respond. He promptly won our respect. He is a total perfectionist, extremely talented in his craft, and just a terribly nice guy to top it off. Even better, his price is very reasonable! We still have a lot of holes to patch (and drywall to finish) but you can be that John will be the one doing the work!

Over our 48 years of marriage we have had a lot of contractors and repair men do work for us. John ranks at the top of the list for plaster repair. Efficient, and reasonably priced. We will definitely contact him again if needed.

John did a great job with my ceiling repair. The work was exactly as he explained it would be. He is thorough and clean. I highly recommend him.

John did an amazing job repairing a ceiling that had been opened to the rafters during a kitchen remodel. He replaced drywall and textured to match the existing ceiling. Was extremely impressed with his work - others wanted to tear down the entire ceiling but John was able to make it work with the existing ceiling and matched it perfectly.

I found John’s work to be very good. He was very reasonable in price, did a very good job and was extremely neat. As a retired Maintenance Manager, I have hired, and work with many technicians. For plasterwork, John Manning would have been my number one go to guy.

John did a phenomenal job repairing water damage to walls and ceiling in our laundry room. Mr. Manning did a a great job in our kitchen remodel- very conscientious - we were in a bind as far as our timeframe - he fit us in in the evenings while working another job in the daytime.

Manning Plastering did a great job in my kitchen, hall and bathroom. The patches were seamless and the water damage is gone. We also asked that the rough textured ceiling in the hall be changed to a smooth finish. It looks great and makes the place look fresh and up to date.
