My wife went to the michigan eye center for an exam and to purchase glasses. After looking at glasses, she picked a pair out. Sitting at home later she decided she wanted to cancel the order, and come back in and look again for glasses. They were able to cancel the order, but told her she was NOT WELCOME back in their office. This is not a place I would ever recommend for eye care, as they are very unprofessional.

Michigan Eye Center Staff is very nice that is why I was so surprised when I was buying my glasses. I had Saturday appt. and needed glasses the girl Candice that waited on me was very nice. Long story short I ordered glasses that I was unsure about and left. The more I thought about them I wanted to see if I could cancel and order a frame closer to the one I already have. Due to the weekend I called the office to leave a message and got their answering service (l apologized stating I thought I was getting a machine) wanted to leave a message to cancel my glasses before they were ordered and either order another one or just get new lenses. Monday came received a call from Candice saying she had faxed the order, but will check to see what she can do. I was on hold 2 minutes she advised they were able to cancel. I then asked do I need an appt to come back and I would wear my contacts so I can see what I look like when trying on the glasses. She place me on hold and a woman came on and said we did what you asked and you can go somewhere for your glasses. I couldn't even believe it. I asked a few time and she stated you can go elsewhere. I didn't even know there was a problem. I even called my insurance to see if it was a big deal and said not sure why you couldn't go back. I use to be a patient of Dr. Sheers and Schmidt for years and my insurance changed when it changed back to one Mi Eye Center accepted I was happy. If you need glasses and unsure about the DoNot go there this office they will treat you like a piece of crap! I work with the public for over 30 yrs and can't treat people so badly. I would not recommend going there they will not go above a beyond for you. Actually I guess they had to make an extra phone call and that was too much work. What makes it worse I called back to speak with Candice and apologize for canceling and didn't realize there was problem, but the mean lady got back on the phone to let me know again they had cancelled my request and I can have my glasses done somewhere else. NO PROBLEM Maybe to teach you customer sevice. Keep it up and be like the rest of Mi and go Out of business or maybe Doctor might see your no longer a good fit for this office. I won't come back.
