Canutillo Middle School is operated by the Canutillo Independent School District and imparts education to students in grades six through eight. It offers students the opportunity to receive high school credit (credit by exam) and college credit (AP exam) in Spanish by taking an advanced college-level course. The AP courses prepare students to work at a university level by studying literature, conducting research, giving oral presentations and studying the formal usage of the Spanish Language. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) rated Canutillo Middle School as Academically Acceptable for the 2009 Accountability Ratings.
