This boat is a rip off, bunch of beggars. They have you fishing in the sand catching small snakelike fish. They need to fire the captain(s) and all the boat mates. Sell the boat to someone who can provide great customer service and put the folks on the fish, and limit the amount of folks you take on one trip.

My experience was not a memorable one. The captain on Miss Cape only knows one reef (Pelican reef). This is the Walt Disney world of reefs; everyone knows about this reef. It is so over fished. We were at this reef all day and had only a few bits with a few tiny 3"- 6" sea bass Only a hand full of fish over 12 inches were caught off the back of the boat. We were also forth in line out of aprox 30 guest and we were assigned number 70, which is in the front of the ship. Not to mention the bait was rotten. The good news is that the boat crew was pleasant.

My husband has always mentione...

My husband has always mentioned wanting to go deep sea fishing. I really wanted to take him for his birthday. Now we can't afford to charter our own boat for just the two of us (otherwise I would have done this). I read all the reviews on every different site about Miss cape Canaveral deep sea fishing. I thought that despite all the bad reviews that we would give it a shot. I payed the extra for the stern spot, so we'd be in a better spot and not be quite so packed in if there were a lot of people on the boat that day. I wasn't very concerned about the food as neither my husband or I eat that much.

The sad thing is I can't speak to any conditions on the boat at all. I bought my tickets online almost a month ahead of time. I got the email confirmation back from them about the tickets and my credit card was charged. I called a few weeks later to confirm the tickets and the sail time (I was going to call earlier, but a sick pet and emergency vet visits happened. Sometimes life just gets busy). The woman I talked to on the phone was fairly pleasant, after the kinda snippy phone greeting when she first picked up. At first she could find our ticket reservation information at all. I had to pull up my invoice and tell her the date I purchased it before she was able to find it. Then she informs me that they are not sailing on either of the dates we had available because of a coast guard inspection. I can understand a coast guard inspection means you can't sail that date, but she said they have known about the inspection before I placed my ticket order.

They should not have charged me for tickets knowing that they were not going to sail.

I am now left with no gift for my husband for his birthday and I was so excited despite all the reviews that we would at least have a good time together on this outing. I am rather relieved in some ways that we will not be aboard this ship. I would hate to see what it is run like when they aren't even considerate enough to make sure they don't charge their customers for, in essence, a product that does not exist.

The woman took my information to refund me the money for the tickets and I was informed it should be back on my card in 72 hours. I missed a few of the reviews saying they had a hard time getting refunds from this company. Now I am anxiously awaiting the refund hoping I don't have problems with that as well.

I left two (stars) for rating as I can not speak to the conditions on the ship. Maybe things on the boat are run better than in the office...

Stranded - AWFUL customer service!

We bought 4 tickets (at $50 per ticket) to the February 24th shuttle launch. Whenever we called, they seemed a little sketchy and disorganized -- one time the person on the phone admitted that they didn't know what they were doing, and they even lost our reservation when we called the day of the launch to confirm -- but we ignored all the signs.

We must've called at least three times, and every time we called, AND when we picked up our tickets two hours before the launch, they said the boat would board at 3:30 p.m. Imagine our surprise when we were sitting at a restaurant at 3:15 and we saw the boat leaving!

We went back over to the store and asked the man at the register (who I believe was the owner) if the boat had just left. He did not even seem the least bit apologetic, and did not offer any explanation as to why the boat left earlier than when we were told it would.

He did offer to give us our money back and told us that next door there was another boat that was more expensive. When I asked if he would also give us the difference since it was his company's mistake, he looked me in the eye and dared to say, "Boy, you're difficult!"

He ended up paying the difference just to get us out of there, and flippantly said as we were leaving "Keep those tickets - they're good forever." Of course I would never waste my time going back there, but I couldn't believe he said that so casually -- he didn't write our names down, he didn't make a note on the tickets -- it is that sort of empty promise that illustrates what a poorly run business it is.

We went next door, thinking that he had called to let them know we were coming. Of course, he hadn't, they had no idea who we were, and they were not able to fit us on their boat.

We did find AMAZING customer service when we went to a little stand outside the Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar called Sunrise Marina (www.sunrisemarina.com). The woman put in at least ten phone calls for us until she found a captain who would do a private boat for us for only $300. Yes, $100 more was an unexpected extra expense, but to have a private boat AND to not give the jerks at Miss Cape Canaveral a dime? Priceless.
