Provided by YP.comHave been going to West Cape Family Dental for a few months. Overall it seems the place is in chaos. My problem today is yesterday I had a cap pop off. No big deal - that happens. However, I called the office, left a message on the office voicemail and called the dentists direct number "in case this is an emergency". No one called back.

Provided by YP.comMy husband went in with excruciating tooth pain. He was seen by Dr. Beno after they took an xray. He was told if he had a root canal and a filling his pain will be eliminated. My husband said go ahead and do it. Then the nurse came in with a written estimate of nearly $2800.00 including a cap. At this point we were both floored. At this point my husband said why don't we do the root canal and the filling to get him out of terrible pain. The nurse went to talk to Dr. Beno and the Dr. sent her back to tell my husband unless he paid the $2800.00 he would refuse to do the root canal and cavity filling to relieve his pain. His pain is so bad that it's effecting his ear, throat and temple and sinuses. He is an epileptic, which they know this and this will cause him to have a seizure. We spoke to Nicole in the office which is a so called office manager. She said she couldn't believe the Dr. refuses to treat him unless we include the cap!! I recommend HIGHLY u do not go to this practice!!!

Provided by YP.comI have had pain for over 5 years...been to many dentist. Dr Watts is the first one to catch I had cracked teeth under 40 year old crowns. Problem solved. Thank you so much. Can't say enough about his staff, professional and courteous. Prices better than the other practices I visited in this area.

Provided by YPmobileThis is not a competent staff, they add unnecessary tests and procedures, the management is a joke, and they lack the necessary costumer service skills to effectively run an office.

Provided by YPmobileThis place is the biggest rip off. My experience felt like I was trying to be sold the entire time. They charged me a new client fee twice when they switched their office next door. After calling multiple times they finally took care if it. Then I received a bill for getting fluoride when my insurance told me I can get that for free but apparently not in the same day. The hygienist was able to pull up all my estimates and called them for cancer screening, invisaline, cleaning, and fillings. My ins. Told me that they told her if it was in the same day they couldn't pay for it. She insisted I get in the room. When I called a year ago the front desk told me she took care of it. I just received that they sent it to collections. I called them to tell them everything that happened and Melissa told me, " it's your bill you should have took care of it two years ago." She was extremely rude with a condescending tone. She said it was above her. Then I asked to speak to some one who is above her. She put me on hold then came back on sweet (probably because her boss was right there) Joy is the person above who couldn't even bother to get on the phone to hear my side if the story. I'm so upset by how the girls who all work there lie and speak to their clients with horrible manners. I don't recommend this place to anyone. What bothers me is I paid them the two times I was there in same day treatment. I should have read the reviews!

Provided by YP.comI am no stranger to the dentist. Having just moved here, I scheduled myself a visit for a cleaning & exam. What a joke! My insurance covers these type of visits but the hygenist told me that my cost today would be $40! When I inquired, she said it was because of an 'Cancer screening' -- please. I declined that, and sat there for the next 90 minutes as this inept hygenist took 18 (yes, 18!) x-rays, and poked my gums reading off some sort of binary code to determine if I needed a "deep cleaning" or not. Inbetween the pokes, she instructed me to swallow (the blood? Can't I rinse?) It was determined that 3 of my teeth gave a rating which meant I needed a deep cleaning. (whatever that meant) So she leaves and comes back and gives me the sheet that shows me how much my treatment plan will be....only to see that this "deep cleaning" would cost over $600 and I would be out of pocket $140!THEN, I go on to find out that I would have to schedule this cleaning.
What.in the world? I sat there for 90 minutes, and walked out with bleeding gums & not even a teeth cleaning. Unbelievable. I would absolutely not ever, ever go here, or tell anyone else I know to go here.

Provided by YP.comi've read stories over the years about dentists who make very shady diagnosis in order to make more money. ding! ding! we have one here. i'm a dental professional myself (20 yrs).....so, i'm quite informed on dental health. i'm new to the area and just wanted to get a cleaning. i'm very aware of what's going on in my mouth---VERY!!---so, it was quite a shock for me to learn that i had periodontal disease and cavities. i'm not in denial or anything here, honestly. they performed the same diagnostic tests on me that i have performed on thousands of patients (and myself!).....and i know what the results should and shouldn't be---mine were quite normal.......when they started telling me about all my problems, i just started to laugh----i couldn't believe someone could say these things with a straight face. i argued with the doc---nicely---and, he sort of excused himself quickly. shame, shame on you, west cape dental.....you should be ashamed of yourselves. (i would give negative stars if i could!)
