gorgeous restaurant with delicious food, service little slow....

We finally got all 6 of us together and had a reservation for last Friday at La Terraza. We were seated right away. The place looks great, a real old world plaza feeling. Cool is the sky high ceiling with stars and walls with artificial windows. There was live music and it looked busy all over. Nice linens and napkins, water and wine glasses on the tables, a pretty elegant setting for Cape Coral. We ordered tapas and some mexican dishes. Drinks were priced fair and the sangria the best I ever had. After about 20 minutes most of our tapas arrived. Some were missing so we shared what we had. And I have to say they were delicious !! But then suddenly the mexican food arrived although we had not all of the ordered tapas yet. The waiter explained that the tapas are always served as soon they are prepared to guarantee their taste and freshness. So why could they have not waited with our mexican entres until all tapas were served? I complaint to the waiter and he took the mexican dishes back to the kitchen. Now we waited another 5 minutes for our rest of tapas to arrive. After we were done with them the waiter asked us if we were ready for the entre and that it would need about 20 - 30 more minutes to be prepared. So all in all we needed about over 1 hour for all our food to arrive, so take your time for this restaurant. However I can very much recommend it. Food and drinks are very good, the ambiance is the nicest in Cape Coral and the live flamenco show and music makes time fly by. So we all will be back, I would not go there for a quick dinner or lunch ! To spend an entire evening with friends, talk, eat and dance, this is a real great place to go.

Very good experience at La Terraza

Wow, I am surprised to hear your unpleasent visit. We (2 sisters with family and us 3) were there last Saturday and I was falling in love with this place. We had a nice table close to the stage and stayed over 5 hours eating, drinking, talking and later even dancing. The restaurant and bar was packed pretty much the whole night and we received delicious food with no complaints. The tapas were hot and crispy, sangrias the best I ever had and the banana bites out of this world. We had somehow 2 different waiters but both were friendly and helpful. Maybe we waited a little long on the Paella (40 minutes) but it was Saturday and they were slammed. We never met the manager but we will be back for sure and hope not to have to "adjust" this 4 star review. We'll see soon.

In need of Chef Ramsey!!

After 1 hour and ten minutes our dinner arrived cold, after we ate our dinner the appetizers showed up, we then mildly complained that the food was cold, the manager said he would take the one dinner off the bill and stressed with an attitude we should of told him the food was cold and he would of put it back in the wok, well after one hour and ten minutes there is no excuse to reheat, and of course the bill was never adjusted when we received it. During the long wait we had a number of dishes set on our table that were not ours and looking around we had noticed many dishes were being distributed to the wrong tables throughout the entire restaurant the whole time, the waiter was so rude to us it was unreal like everything was our fault, and the manager was just as rude and should not be in the food business, The manager is as useless and rude as a 2$ waiter. I highly recommend to go elsewhere!!!! and believe this place will not last long at all.
