Because if financial constraints, I had not been able to visit a veterinarian. My cat of 15 years, Rock E. Booker had been ill for several days neither eating nor taking water. I had heard several good things about "Kindness". When I called to make an appointment for him to be euthanized, the staff gave me an immediate appointment. Everyone on the staff was so compassionate. The doctor was so wonderful and even gave me a great hug. How wonderful was that hug. Thank you all so very much.

As an animal loving client here I am so sad to hear reviews sharing unhappiness with this hospital. Pet guardians should be happy and comfortable. I had been a client elsewhere years agoâ¦a highly recommended practice. Unless you have experienced the former vet I frequented you have no idea what "money first" is all about and the cat care was a sad close second.there unlike at Kindness. I am so very, very happy to have found Kindness Hospital. Easing the passing of a very old, very sick cat (with Dr. Salcedo) was not expected to be pleasant, of course, but I do not how such a sad event could have been made any more comfortable. The care was astonishingly sensitive to my needs, after all, my pet did not know what was happening but I did. It was my anguish that needed to be assuaged and silenced. Since that unhappy event I chose to stay with Kindness when I adopted a kitten and I have been taking him there and have experienced unfailingly good treatment, sound diagnostics and loving care for my little buddy. Four years ago I took in my mother's very difficult cat. Mother had died and no one wanted this pet after knowing her because she is so hard to handle. Sweet and loving but fears being picked up to the point it takes my son to handle kenneling for doctor visits. She takes a lot of time and much patience to be examined and treated. Doing so requires patience and perseverance above and beyond what any vet expects when they first see her. Once she has to be handled all H--- breaks loose. Blood is drawn (on us) and the emotions soar. The funnny thing is that they get the job done without causing her any more angst than she already has. They took a lot of time showing me ways to handle her more successfully. I still have difficulty but they do not. One of the techs even offered to come to the house to help me coral her when needed, to help me wash her eyes, to "pill" her, to administer her pain medsâ¦I could easily go on about the excellent care and good attitudes I have experienced there. As for costâ¦I really don't know about comparative costs anymore. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The thing is, if they are more expensive, just ifâ¦and I do not know if they are soâ¦but if they are then I am confident it balances out because I never experience return trips due to incorrect diagnosis, to less than optimal care, to any of the negatives one can experience in animal care. Not saying other practices are bad. I am just saying that getting it right the first time could very well mean less money spent even if that office visit is more than the other practices aroundâ¦and I do not know if they are indeed more costly. I know only that I have never contemplated changing whereas twenty years ago I never seemed to be satisfied with the vet I had back then. They, at Kindness, have never failed us and even if the news was less than desired they always have come up with a plan. One particular conditon of my cat is very difficult and ongoing if the daily hygiene protocol is not followed and even then, there is the occasonal problem. They have patiently taken care of things to get me back on track in caring for him. I wouldn't go anywhere else and if money was an issue I would forego some other discretionary expense that month in order to take my buddy to Kindness. No question about it. No point in going on. It would just be more of the same. The doctors, the techs and assistants, the groomersâ¦all stellar!Five star rating but ten if I could give it, even twenty stars! D.Morris

Last month made an appt. for my female dog to get her shots. The lady at the front desk was so so. Just there to do her job no extra's for a new customer. The vet was not able to handle my dog very well. Paid the bill everything was priced like it was quoted on the phone, when I made the appt. I made another appt. for my male dog to get his shots the next month. Went to my next appt. saw the same vet, but when my dog jumped on her lap to give her kisses she didn't like it at all. She and the tech had no control over my Lab mix, he was very scared , could not wait to get out of there. When I paid for the bill, I left and when home to notice they charged me more money for my male dog. He had the same shots, and nails cut and exam , no different than my other dog same bill different price. My husband called and spoke to the lady on the phone, she says vet charges what ever she wants to charge, then my husband ask why it cost $19.65 to cut nails, she said yes that is too much money. They really don't care, I would use another Animal Hospital if you can find a good one around here. They really don't care about your pet only money. SIgned Disappointed.

Pet Owners BEWARE!!! I brought my dog in to have her nails clipped and they dislocated her hip!! I found it a little suspicious when their technician brought her out without her leash and harness on... After bringing her home and setting her down I noticed she wouldn't put her back leg down. I immediately called Kindness and wanted to bring her back in but it was a Saturday and they were closing. I couldn't bring her back in til Monday morning. My poor baby suffered in pain and wouldn't even go to the bathroom.( Being a single mother I cannot afford emergency treatment.) As soon as I arrived for the appointment , the ignorant, unqualified, receptionist took it upon herself to look at my dog's nails and told me that I must have dropped her because she didn't see anything wrong with her nails. The vet at this location (East) wanted to prescribe pain meds without even taking an xray (all of which they wanted ME pay for. After speaking to the hospital advisor, I brought her to the other loc
