Jeff Sneethen charged over $8000 to replace a wiring harness and a parking brake. Conveniently they charged exactly 8 hours a day for labor for a total of 75 hours.
Which means they are charging for his time talking on the phone, eating, and going to the john. But he said he sleeps fine every night knowing that he is overcharging people for work.
The lesson here is never pay someone by the hour to do work unless you can supervise them because they will steal from you and smile about doing it.

Bad bad bet I paid this fellow over $22,000 most of the work had to be redone he charged me for a new power steering Holly did you got a pump from the junkyard it was cracked he cleaned it and repainted it he charged for new axles that he didn't put in he switched a brand new red top battery for one of his other car and the battery put in my car was bad he charged me for a new water pump when he just painted the old one he quotes one labor rate the charges you a different labor rate he bent the chrome on my rocker panel watch out for these guys all they do is spray paint things from china to look american made.
