Ocean Academy is an educational facility that provides programs for children with special needs from 3 to 13 years. The academy serves children with a range of disorders that have stemmed from physical and learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, developmental delays, and cognitive, visual and hearing impairments. It offers a special education program based on the High/Scope curriculum for its preschool students. In addition, Ocean Academy provides programs for children with multiple and emotional disabilities and autism spectrum. The school also offers an extended school year program. Its staff includes speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, teaching consultants and school psychologists. Located in Cape May Court House, N.J., Ocean Academy is a part of the Cape May County Special Services School District.
