Sol Energy, LLC, founded in 2003 and located in Carbondale, Colorado, has a demonstrated track record of high quality photovoltaic installations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, and several other US states. Ken Olson, principal of Sol Energy, has worked exclusively in the solar energy field since 1977. Under Ken’s leadership Sol Energy’s extensive project list includes a variety of building types and system designs from large ground mounted PV systems for commercial buildings and municipalities, to building integrated and residential PV systems for individual homeowners.   Selected project descriptions and references are given below. A significant factor in SoL Energy’s success as a solar business is it’s long-term professional relationships within the solar industry as well as with building contractors and design professionals in the region.   Project Management Sol Energy has a demonstrated ability to manage and execute a wide variety of projects, each with it’s unique set of stake-holders and participants including clients, architects, engineers, construction professionals, financiers and public officials. SoL Energy’s project management places a high priority on communication, attention to detail and careful coordination amongst it’s own staff and with all project professionals and owner’s representative. Our ultimate goal is a successful project and satisfied client.   System Design, Engineering, and Commissioning Sol Energy’s team draws upon it’s own depth of experience in the design and engineering of systems. For large or unique projects we often solicit outside professional services such as electrical and structural engineers to review and/or commission our system designs.   Installation Contracting Sol Energy has an excellent track record of high quality workmanship and well coordinated, on-time completion of projects. The company has several NABCEP Certified and COSEIA certified PV installers as well as a Journeyman electrician on staff. We contract with a Colorado licensed Master Electrician to perform AC wiring as required by Colorado permit regulations.
