Best New Restaurant Serving simpler yet equally fabulous fare as its older sibling Binkley's, Carefree's Cafe Bink is a gem all its own. Think Parisian bistro with modern American touches. The patio seats 40 rather than the 30 or so inside and provides stunning views of Black Mountain. Dinner features salads, first and second courses, and sides. Sandwiches ( like a sweet Sloppy Joe on a toasted onion roll ) have their own headings at lunch. On a late summer evening, we're the only table left just after 9 p.m. The kitchen is packing up, our server is leaving, and suddenly, the front door opens. A couple saunters in and is greeted just as warmly as we were two hours earlier, nary a hint of disappointment from the staff about the late arrival. That's class. And that, in a nutshell, is Cafe Bink. Chef Kevin Binkley has a passion for fine food, exceptional talent, incredible energy, and he loves to cook. He is the Chef/Owner of Binkley's Restaurant, which opened in Cave Creek May 25, 2004. Cold poorly prepared good

We were served at the bar and the woman bartender and supporting waitress were absolutely great! They tried to make a bad experience tolerable. The soup was served cold as was the entree. My wife ate hers cold and I sent mine back. She agrees tat she should have also. The servers tried their best but the kitchen and Chef did not. We have gone thee before and not had this problem!

We were going to try Cafe Binks again on Friday 4/11

I called several times and no one answered the phone at about 4:30pm but no one answered the phone!

We decided to just go in without a reservation to give them another try because of the servers who we think are caring and attentive .

When we got there they had a large Private Party that booked the restaurant apparently.

They could have at least answered the phone and we would not have wasted our time driving there.

The management is dead wrong not answering a phone for customers...

We then went to Cartwrights a short ways away and they accommodated us without a reservation!

The food there was Superb! The Hostess outstanding and the waitress was more than just super professional ...she was charming and extremely attentive! 5 Stars for Cartwrights should be 10 Stars!

Binks did us a favor not answering their phone!

Big city restaurants in Carefree

Whether you go to Binkley's or Cafe Bink's if you close your eyes you could be in NYC, SF, DC or Chicago. What a gem of a couple Carefree and Cave Creek have in Amy and Kevin Binkley. The food and service are outstanding and at a steal. Patrick O'Connell and Thomas Keller should be proud of what they learned from them. These should be the top places in Zagat next year. Keep up the great food!
