Ames Construction, Inc. began operations in 1960 in Burnsville, Minn., and has become one of our nation s largest heavy civil and industrial design-build general contractors. Ames is experienced in the construction of airports, bridges, highways, railroad lines, mining, power plants, water treatment plants, dams, commercial sites and golf courses. It is also experienced in flood control, environmental site remediation, reclamation and landfill work, and has worked on some of our nation s largest infrastructure projects. Ames crews are experienced in moving earth and rock; blasting and processing aggregates; building and renovating airports, golf courses and site preparation for commercial properties; constructing bridges, dams and heavy concrete structures; building and equipping industrial plants; installing underground and above-ground mechanical and process piping; producing and placing structural concrete and soil cement. Ames Construction maintains its headquarters in Burnsville.
