An elderly gentleman needed assistance with getting his rear windshield replaced after a minor incident yesterday. I spent two hours on the phone between his insurance company and SAFELITE AUTO in Carlisle taking care of everything for him. Claim was filed, appointment scheduled. Safelite confirmed an appointment for 8 am this morning, and he could pick up his vehicle this afternoon. This gentleman drove his vehicle from Harrisburg to the Carlisle store this morning and was denied service as Safelite said he wasn't scheduled. So I provided a copy of Safelite's email confirmation that was sent to me yesterday to the store manager and she made an excuse blaming the insurance company for the error. What error? I had an email confirmation that he was scheduled for today 8 am at the Carlisle store! Still, he was turned away. I think Safelite made the error and in poor judgement decided to take it out on the elderly gentleman.
