Hearing that we were headed to a restaurant at a country club in Carlsbad I thought of out of date food and furniture. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern log-cabin look of Canyons and the beautiful views of a hillside golf course. The food was good, too. Everyone in our group enjoyed their plate. The sweet potato fries were especially well-liked and the Rueben sandwich was popular as well. The price was reasonable, service was good and it is a nice place to take someone in the area.
