Provided by YP.comHAHAHA. I have known Pete Kahlo and sons, one killed in a robbery, for 40 years. They used to buy engine paint from us by the case. If you came in with a loose hose clamp they took YOUR water pump off, painted it, and reinstalled. Charging you $400 for a loose hose clamp, and your old water pump with a new paint job. He used to pressure sell tires to women telling them their tires were too dangerous to drive on. If they couldn't afford a new set he sold you a used set he got from the last car that came in. This scam went on for DECADES. I knew a Professor at Butler with a VW that took his bug in. They told him he needed an engine for $1200. Found out they steam cleaned his engine and repainted it without even taking it out. Pete and Kevin Kahlo are the two most dishonest people I have EVER MET.

Provided by YP.comOne of the great advantages for me is my proximity to Pete's, where I consistently take my BMW 325 and receive outstanding service. Who takes car of my baby is very important to me and I trust Pete's exclusively to do this. Their level of service is consistently high and I highly recommend them.

Provided by YP.comI took my car to Pete's, because they were one of the only places open on a Saturday and my sun roof on my 2001 BMW 330I was open and wouldn't close. Since it was supposed to rain over the weekend, I had no choice but to try and get it closed. I dropped it off at Pete's on Saturday morning and they told me they would give me a call to let me know what they found. I had not heard from them at 12:45 p.m. (they close at 1:00 p.m.) so I called them. Todd proceeded to inform me that my car not only needed a new sunroof motor, but about $2,500 worth of additional service.
I found this to be very odd, because my car had just been in the shop and had a lot of work done (it was in a wreck, so the front end had gone through quite a bit of repair), including some of the things they mentioned. They said I needed new rear brake pads, a new control arm, etc., etc. When I saw the estimate, I went over to pick the car up because I simply couldn't justify putting that much money into it. The guy told me NOT to touch the sunroof whatever I did. They had cranked it closed, but he didn't want me messing with it, because it needed a new motor (or so he said).
After picking it up, I took it back to the place I had originally had work done. They just happened to be working that Saturday and when I showed them the estimate they were shocked and appalled. They tried the sunroof and guess what - it worked!!! They proceeded to tell me there is a reset button on it and that it just needed to be reset. They also proceeded to tell me that my rear brake pads still have 40% wear left on them and that my control arm was in good shape. Clearly, Pete's was a scam and was just looking for some extra $$$$.

Provided by YP.comA drive belt broke on my 2001 BMW 5 series as it was past replacement time. I called a few local shops. Pete's took the time to explain the probable cause of the problem, get my car in and repaired in quickly, and charged a price near 1/2 of what the dealer would have cost. While the car was in they did a comprehensive inspection and found a couple other issues that had been overlooked in the past, and did not try to force the sale on me. I have since returned after verifying with another mechanic that my car DID need these things that Pete's was being honest. I will use them in the future as needed.
