In addition to 'the basics" we feature a variety of special subjects, including instrumental and choral music, dance, art, computers, drama, French, physical education and chess. Always, we emphasize a hands-on, learning by doing approach as we strive toward excellence.  Our teachers are hand-picked and superbly trained, and most have been with us for many years. They create a warm, nurturing atmosphere which makes the children feel relaxed and allows them to progress and learn at their optimum rate. At Our Montessori School we mold the education to fit the child, not the child to fit the program. By this we mean many things. One is that we respect each youngster as an individual possessing a unique combination of interests, needs and abilities. We mean that these elements shape his or her learning process, and that children learn better and more happily when they are allowed to work at their own pace.

Regular school hours are from 9:00AM-12:00AM and 12:30Pm - 3:30PM. Many children attend both mornings and afternoons, and extended hours are available from 7:00AM to 6:00PM. Parents may choose flexible hours and days to suit their schedule. We also offer a summer camp and follow the corporate calendar, with our extended day program, providing services to our children year-round, except for national holidays and Christmas week.

We are an independent school, non-denominational, and admit students without regard to race or creed. Because we are a N.Y. State-registered school, free transportation is provided by your local school system for kindergarteners and up. We are licensed by N.Y. State.
