UMA was founded and is owned by its Master Instructor, Master Rick Crawford. UMA - California is owned and operated by its Head Instructor, Deputy Master Kris Carlson. Universal Martial Arts - California is licensed through the city of Monterey, CA and chartered through the Universal Martial Arts Organization.
