Pittsburgh Design Services ( PDS ) is a diversified engineering, manufacturing and construction services company that offers a unique package of products and services to industrial and commercial clients. We started business in 1970 to provide engineering services to the steel industry in and around Pittsburgh. The company has grown to include sales and manufacturing of industrial cranes and hoists, structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and design and manufacturing of customized machinery for the steel, aluminum, specialty metals, paper and mining industries. Engineering and Construction Services Engineering, design, autoCAD drawings, and construction specifications for existing and new manufacturing facilities to include but not limited to buildings, equipment foundations, equipment installation, plant utilities, and material handling systems. Field inspections, surveying and design analysis of existing structures, mill buildings, cranes, crane runways and bridges. Follow-up reports/recommendations and rehabilitation engineering. Feasibility studies and cost estimates for the planning of new manufacturing facilities or improving or renovations of existing facilities.
