The Carpentersville Fire Department provides fire suppression and rescue services to the village of Carpentersville, Ill. It offers mitigation of and recovery from a variety of conditions that adversely threaten the safety of the public. The department is a division of the village s government. Its primary operations consist of confining and extinguishing various types of fires. As an extension of the department s rescue services, it also provides pre-hospital, emergency medical care. In addition, it performs on-site safety inspections of buildings to ensure structures meet safety codes and participates in campaigns for community awareness regarding fire safety. The Carpentersville Fire Department is comprised of more than 75 employees.
