I am a white guy trying and trying to learn spanish . If your going to speak spanish you gotta walk the walk and talk the talk but when i spoke spanish to a big woman working at 7 - 11 she called me a racist . Nothing racist about it . She then threatened to kick me out of the store . That's ridiculous . I never set foot in that store again for at least 6 months after which time i was hoping she was gone . Then when i stepped into 7 - 11 again i met, Edwin Hernandez who works nights . Nicest guy in the world . He speaks spanish with me . Is sociable, honest and gives me change everytime i ask for it . I have become a regular customer again at the 7 -11 in, Carpinteria store once again and if it wasn't for people like him i would still be taking my business elsewhere .
