DAC International is a vertically integrated company that designs the mechanical, electronic, software and automation components of its lens production equipment. Its equipment includes CNC lathes, mills, surfacing equipment, ophthalmic lens generators, cylinder machined and automation and lens design software. Fabrication, testing and customer training are done in the company headquarters in Carpinteria, Calif. DAC International also operates a facility in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 1964.
