The Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department offers public safety, advanced life support, emergency medical assistance, hazardous incident mitigation, and fire suppression, prevention and education services. The department maintains a staff of more than 35 men and women that protects the lives and property of the citizens. Its central station has an apparatus area that houses shift command vehicles, engines, ambulances, rescue boats and equipment trailers. The Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department conducts home fire safety inspections and provides safety tips regarding fire prevention.
