Provided by YP.comThe facilities are quite new and appear to be clean enough. Parking is adequate and the waiting area is not overly large. They have a stunning bird on staff in the Bed and Biscuit waiting area, very lovely coloring. Their web page is neat and easily navigable.
We rarely need such services but having just relocated we were hoping to connect and find a new health care team for our two young cats. The initial contact was fine, the receptionist was kind and answered all our questions. Although there was no direct answer to my questioning their refusal to board my strictly indoor cats without them on active treatment for flea prevention, but this is a much warmer climate than we are accustomed to and figured that may be as standard as heartworm pills for dogs.
We returned a couple of days later for drop off. We have been on vacation RVing as we relocate and one of the kennels has a crack that prevents us from using the handle. We apologized for the inconvenience as a young lady came out to transfer our pets to the back. She never made eye contact and never verbally acknowledged our statement. She did give us a blank stare as if we were idiots.
We provided our own food and explained that our cats typically free feed and one eats more under stress as an explanation for the significant quantity we were leaving. There again was the blank stare. Lack of concern? Disdain for our care? Simple boredom?
Pick up sealed the deal for us. We arrived a bit after 9 am, having worked in a veterinary care situation I try to be respectful of potential Monday morning chaos. I smiled and tried to chat with the young lady on duty in the boarding area. She asked our name, asked if we had provided our own kennel, and asked if we had paid in full, again not once did this young lady even attempt to look us in the eye. Seeing as she was typing madly at the terminal like an airline attendant I would have thought she might have been able to discern some of that information from our records. I asked if my little girl had been any trouble, she's never aggressive but has been known to urinate out kennel doors to get attention. I got a chuckle and "I'm sure she didn't do that". No other effort to make conversation, not even a cheesy lie about my cats being funny, playful, or pretty. No concern for my animals at all, and far less for my family. This young lady walked away without explanation, returned with two full kennels (by the handle) and opened the door for us.
Ktksbai.
Somehow, I thought I might get a chance to clarify any of my concerns when I received a follow up call. I guess I shouldn't be disappointed that there was no courtesy call to a potential new client following $150 worth of services.

Provided by YP.comPros -
>Super convenient drop off & pick up times, 7 days a week. Better than any in the area.
>Thankfully that God-awful screeching white bird is no longer in dropoff area.
>Dogs get a complimentary bath.
Cons -
>Most staff seem to be indifferent at best.
>Lengthy time to check in or to pick up your pet, even when the place isn't busy or late at night.
> My dog is on a special needs diet. I provide food in marked containers, w/name & meal noted. At least 4 times, they have returned unused meals to me at pickup. My dog was either not fed or, fed wrong food. Recently, I called back & was told I would need to speak with the manager about this. They took my contact info and said she would be in the next afternoon & would call me. Her call never came.
>You have to make your reservation online & prepay. Yet, many times i arrive only to have them tell me they don't see me in their system. Or, at pickup, they start calculating & tell me what I owe, even though it was prepaid.
>They don't seem to have a system to keep up with your collar/leash, etc. I would get quizzed about what it looks like, then they would go searching, taking up even more of your time.
>On 3 separate occasions, they couldn't find my dog. Only to realize it was still in the grooming room from the complimentary bath. The last time they started to go downstairs, I said, you probably need to go to the grooming room & of course that was where she was. It really makes me wonder just how long my pup had been contained to a small crate in that room.
>After each board, my dog acts like she hasn't had a drop of water to drink. The minute she has access to the water bowl at home, she almost drinks it dry.
I have put up with this type of service numerous times over several years because the hours of operation were the only ones that worked within the restraints of my work schedule and, I felt that at the very least, she was in a safe, contained, environment. :-(

Provided by YP.comI tried to bring the dogs here to have a day out with the wife. I had their vaccination history, shots were up to date, but could not prove I had administered booster shots as follow-ups to the preliminary Parvovirus vaccine. They informed me that I should have kept the label, and brought it in as proof that I had administered the shot. I was able to get a receipt from Tractor Supply to prove I had purchased the shots, which is just as much "proof" in my opinion, but they said the risk was too high and still would not accept the dogs. The associate, Judith, acted as a medium of communication with the general manager, who never once came out to discuss the issue with me in person. Bad business. I understand it is a safety precaution, but having a label doesn't prove that the shots were administered anymore than a receipt with the shot listed and the last four digits of a credit card number currently in possession.
