This the corporate office. They are a not concerned with customers, only renting the name for cash. I had a horrible experience with their Southgate, MI franchise. I checked out after maybe 2 hrs. I went less than a mile to Holiday Inn where I was able to get 10 hrs of peaceful sleep and was treated with respect. The management of Motel 6 was rude and condescending stating I would not receive a refund as, " you had full use of the room." I beg to differ, full use includes being able to get sleep and not be harassed by another loud room 3- doors down. I was told, by customer relations, there was nothing corporate could do in regards to a franchise. I beg to differ. Jim Amarosia CEO could pick up the phone and call the franchisee and state that 189 complaints on one review site tells him that this location is not living up to his standards. He has the power to pull the name of Motel 6 at any time. It appears his standards are quite low. I have left messages with his assistant and received no response. I am currently filing a consumer complaint with the Michigan State Attorney General. I am making contact with the other complainants on the review site and putting together a class action grievance. No settlement is being asked for other than to hold the owners responsible and request they bring this location up to a decent degree of consumer protection.
