At Oak Crest Private School, we offer pre-K (three years old) to Grade 8 in small, friendly classes where students are placed based on ability rather than age. Throughout their education, students follow individual programs that allow them to advance at their own pace. Our emphasis is on full mastery of the materials learned. In our small classes, students who are talented in an area can move rapidly through those subjects, but teachers ensure that nothing is missed. Every child is unique and so is their path through our challenging program. It is not the amount of time spent in the classroom that matters, but the mastery of what is being learned. We feel that it is vital that children have a solid grounding in the basics from which they can expand into any field they may choose. Not only should a student master these underlying tools very well, but he or she should then be able to use what was learned. Our teaching and study methods stress practical application, and whenever possible, students work with the actual material or objects being studied. In this way, the student is able to evaluate new information learned and compare its value to the real world. This results in students who love going to school. They arrive eager to learn when they are three or four years old, and this enthusiasm carries on without diminishing through Middle School. Our learning methods celebrate each unique individual. Along with that, we cherish the diversity of our student population. We have many different ethnicities, religious backgrounds and nationalities represented at our school, both among the students and the teachers. The school is a reflection of what an ever more international world looks like, and children have the opportunity to explore what is different and what is the same between themselves and families from other cultures. From this, we have woven a tight-knit, friendly community.

From one happy parent

My son is currently in pre-K class and has learned a lot of things that I didn’t expect him to be able to. In short, if you want your child to have a good education and attentive detail then this is the school of your choice. Thanks Oak Crest

From one happy parent

I had my son here for 4 months and couldn't be happier. He is currently in pre-K class and has learned a lot of things that I didn’t expect him to be able to. In short, if you want your child to have a good education and attentive detail then this is the school of your choice. The small ratio of teacher: student is definitely a plus.

We moved for this school!

This unabstrusive GEM of a school is 100% self-paced, tutored and ensures your kid gets it 100% before moving on to the next level. There is no A,B,C,D - there is 100%. We moved from San Diego, CA to Carrollton, Tx to put our son in the school. He is not even 4 years old and almost done with Kindagarten math, knows his ABCs, can read basic words and count to 80. Yesterday, he explained to me what it meant to "investigated" and "research" (as this is something they do a lot). This school is small - 40-50 students with a very dedicated staff. I highly recommend it. They take them around 3 years old up to 8th grade. Dana Jackson [email protected]

This is a Good School!!

Oak Crest Private School goes from Pre-K to 8th grade. As a mother, I strongly recommend this school to any parent who is looking for the perfect learning environment. Even though it may be a sacrifice to pay, but in the end it is well worth it! If you want your child to succeed, Oak Crest Private School is the place I would refer. Thank you Oak Crest for insuring our son's education!!!

Our son is an African American...

Our son is an African American student currently in 2nd grade at Oak Crest Private School. After 6 weeks of attending public school, the Administrators recommended holding our son back a grade because he was struggling in reading. Our son was going to after-school turtoring, and were paying for an outside tutuor just to help him with his reading. I was desperately trying to HELP my son, because I knew my son could do it! And I didn't want him to become another statistics. I started searching on the internet and I came acoss Oak Crest Private and their curriculum and what they had to offer. After contemplating the cost, my husband and I decided to pull our son out of public school that same year. Since attending Oak Crest, my son has significally improved with reading as well as his confidence. What a 100% turn-around! It was the best decision we made as parents. As a mother, I strongly recommend this school to any parent who is frustrated with the public school system and looking for the perfect learning environment. Even though it may be a sacrifice to pay, but in the end it is well worth it! If your child is struggling with any subject, Oak Crest Private School is the place I would refer. Thank you Oak Crest for insuring our son's education!!!

What a school!

My son has been attending Oak Crest since pre-K. His rate of learning, the attention to basics, the stress upon the child actually learning tools to solve problems in life; these are vital points in my book and Oak Crest has met them successfully.

The daily successes that my son brings home make me pleased that I chose Oak Crest.
