We were confirmed for our move Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. I booked Steward because of an ad placed on my apartment door. I should have seen the red flags when it took me three days to get a hold of them for a confirmation last week... On Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. I got a text from J.R. (the owner) saying they needed to push my move back because they had a "disaster" overnight. When I checked my phone a bit after 7:00 a.m. I responded to the text and asked for a time frame...twice. Didn't hear back. Then I called him on his cell and left a voice mail. After an hour I called the business phone three times, which was never answered. I left a voice mail asking if they could give me any information on an updated time frame. I never heard back. We eventually had to hire a UHaul and do it ourselves, last minute. A bit of background: Our house was destroyed by a tornado and we have been living in an apartment for 6 months. The lease was up on Saturday and we had to move out that day. I am also 7 months pregnant and my husband was in the ER just last week with appendicitis, so we are in no position to move ourselves. Thankfully some friends and family came to our rescue at the last minute, but our move was delayed by several hours, which meant that I had to take a day off work (which I'm trying to save for maternity leave) to unpack. This was an absolute disaster and I have yet to hear anything back from Steward (or J.R., the owner) and it is Tuesday.

Our move could have been confusing going to two different houses and the storage facility. Everything was able to go on the truck in an organized way. As a single Mom traveling from place to place to tell them what went into each location....I really needed the take charge approach.
